On June 23, 2022, ACM-W Sarajevo Chapter will be celebrating International Women in Engineering Day. To raise awareness about the women pursuing engineering and to focus attention on the amazing career opportunities available for the girls in this exciting industry, ACM-W Sarajevo Chapter is organizing two workshops at the International University of Sarajevo.
In the first workshop, participants will be introduced to IT Networking concepts. Dr. Amal Mersni will introduce participants to the Cisco Packet Tracer software tool and help them to create a simulated home network. Senior Assistant Nesibe Merve Husejnović and students Denis Suljaković , Sara Fileković, and Muhamed Imamović will be helping participants with the device connection and solving connectivity issues. The workshop will be held in the A building in Computer Lab (A F1.3) starting at 15:30. The topic of the second workshop is “Introduction to Arduino and Electronics”. This workshop will cover the introduction to the microcontroller (Arduino) and the connection between the electronic components and the microcontroller and the code. Master student Farah Memic will introduce the participants to the Arduino microcontroller, components that will be used during the workshop, and Arduino IDE. Students Sejla Salihovic and Ilma Kliko will be helping students with the connection of the components on the breadboard and with the Arduino. The workshop will be held in Research and Development Center (RDC) in the Microcontroller Lab starting at 15:30.
