International University of Sarajevo (IUS) participated in the ACM-W celebration in computing WomENcourage 2024, held in Madrid, Spain. This annual ACM initiative, organized by ACM-W Europe, celebrates the achievements of women in computing, aiming to foster connections across disciplines and motivate women to pursue education and careers in technology. The 2025 theme, “Responsible Computing for Gender Equality”.
IUS was represented by Soundharya Parashuram, IUS student, professor Ozge Buyukdagli, professor Amal Mersni and professor Pinar Unal-Aydin. Our student was awarded WomENcourage sholarship to attend this event.

Associate Professor Dr. Pinar Unal-Aydin, together with her international research team, delivered a mental health workshop titled “Growth Mindset and Resilience: Thriving Through Setbacks” on behalf of the IUS Psychology Program.
