The Sarajevo ACM-W Professional Chapter was represented at the 9th ACM Celebration of Women in Computing (womENcourage 2022) , held on 21–23 September 2022 at UCLan Cyprus in Larnaca, Cyprus. The theme of the conference was "Drawing New Lines in Science."
The chapter was represented by Amal Mersni, Chapter Chair, and Denis Suljaković, CSE student and Chapter Member.

Conference highlights
The conference opened with a hackathon and idea presentations, followed by three days of keynotes, panels, and workshops. Among the keynotes, Sophia Ananiadou from The University of Manchester presented on emotion detection from social media, exploring approaches to emotion recognition and their applications in natural language processing.
A panel discussion on Perspectives of Success in Technology brought together five women from academia and industry to share their experiences navigating career paths in technology. Workshops covered topics including ethics and equity in AI, inspiring women to pursue careers in IT, visual art and algorithms, and skills for STEAM entrepreneurship.
