On October 30, 2023, the Sarajevo ACM-W Professional Chapter organized the second edition of its annual cybersecurity awareness event at the International University of Sarajevo, marking Cybersecurity Awareness Month. The event was organized in collaboration with MIBO Komunikacije Sarajevo and Cisco Systems Internetworking d.o.o. Sarajevo. The event was open to all genders.
Resad Rovcanin from Cisco Systems Sarajevo opened the event with a talk on the evolving landscape of cybersecurity. The event also featured two panel discussions in which IUS CSE and SE graduates shared their journeys from cybersecurity coursework to applying it in their careers.
Through events like these, the chapter connects students with industry professionals and alumni, building the bridge between academia and industry that is central to the chapter's mission and advancing the participation of women in cybersecurity.
