On April 26-27, 2023, the Sarajevo ACM-W Professional Chapter organized Girls in ICT Sarajevo 2023 at the International University of Sarajevo, marking the International Day of Girls in ICT. This was the second edition of the event. The event was open to all genders.
The two-day program included panel discussions, technical workshops in various IT and ICT fields, and a hackathon competition. Özge Büyükdağlı delivered a presentation on the EUGAIN COST Action Gender Balance in Informatics. On the second day, software companies presented career opportunities in the industry.
The event concluded with an award ceremony for nine hackathon winners.
Girls in ICT Day is one of the chapter's key community outreach activities, celebrating women in computing and inspiring the next generation to pursue careers in technology.
